Megan Spends the Summer Working

Training started out as a big hit and I was succeeding and reaching all my goals until  I got sick. It is what I’m hoping to be a minor setback in my progress here at LHU. I worked a lot over the summer. I worked three jobs; Food service employee, outside farm labor hand, and volleyball coach. It may seem a lot to the average person but I enjoy staying busy and bonding with my little sister on the volleyball court during this short time at home. I moved into my house August 1St and am really excited about it for this year. I am looking forward to a great season and can’t wait to get in the gym with some new faces. I foresee that this year we will be better than last because of the great amount of athletic talent and inner team competition. As far as exciting trips I don’t really have anything to tell because I don’t really travel much. All I know is when we return to Thomas Field House this August, the PSAC better be ready for LHU.

Sydney's Summer

I haven't been up to much this summer. My family and I went on a cruise in the beginning of June. After that I was taking the time to look for a summer job. I ended up finding one at the movie theater close to home. When I'm not working, I am just relaxing by the pool, going to see free movies with the perk of working there, or hanging out with my family. It's been a nice summer, but I'm ready to go back to LHU!

Another Summer Spent in Lock Haven

This summer I lived in Lock Haven with Stephanie and a couple of other athletes. We would go floating down the river with floats connected together. I also had the opportunity to visit a bunch of my high school friends. I also spent my 4th of July weekend with some of my teammates and celebrating Kaleigh's 21st birthday. I spent the end of my summer going to New Hampshire with my family.

Kaleigh's Summer

This summer I worked at a restaurant named Franks as a waitress. Then in July I went to Philly with a few teammates and my best friend from home to see BeyoncĂ© and Jay-z’s on the run tour and to celebrate my 21st birthday! Then every summer my family goes down to Bethany beach for a week and it’s normally very relaxing. That’s pretty much all I did this summer besides summer workouts and getting ready for the season.

A Summer Spent in Lock Haven

This summer I don't have much planned. I am living in lock haven and I work for 3 families watching their kids. I love it it's fun, sometimes it's a little much and it becomes stressful but I enjoy it a lot. Other than that I don't have much planned for the summer, I work out with one of my incoming freshman teammates Moriah and it's enjoyable, well as fun as lifting can be I would say! :) It's not the most exciting summer but it's fun and I'll enjoy every moment of it!

Laura Spends Her Summer on the Beach

My summer has been busy with work, but my job is the best job ever! Being out on the beach every day and getting to play volleyball all the time is perfect. We are starting a high school clinic at our courts, teaching and doing drills then having the kids play. My friend Brittney Smith and I are running the clinic, where we will do drills and teach skills of the beach game of volleyball for an hour, then they can show off their skills the next hour as we have them all play each other in games.

My days off I just relax and or make the best of doing summer activities. Haven't done much this summer yet, but living on the shore there is always something to do. I do have things planned to do such as, go to six flags Great Adventure, Blake Shelton free concert on the beach, family camping trip, beach volleyball tournaments, ect.

Also workouts are going great between getting to the gym everyday and doing workouts on the beach, I'm excited for season to start!
